Sally Quill, Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Life Coach
I am qualified as both a Counsellor and Psychotherapist. There is much overlap between the two disciples, although Psychotherapy tends to be more long term and in-depth, essentially they are very similar. They are both referred to as therapy.
I trained at The Northern Guild for Psychotherapy. I have also trained in couples work and group work. I co-founded The Centre for Relationships, writing and delivering workshops on Relationships and Personal Development.
Qualifications include: Diploma in Humanistic Counselling, Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and MSC Integrative Psychotherapy.
Accreditation, Supervision and Insurance
My accreditation is by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)
I am in on-going professional and personal development and in regular supervision. Code of Ethics: I abide by the UKCP’s Ethical Principles and Code of Professional Conduct. I am fully insured with PPS, the Psychologists Protection Society
What is Therapy?
Psychotherapy helps us to explore our present life and make changes that are deep and long lasting.
I can offer both short and long term individual therapy.
I work with adult individuals and groups of people with many varied aspects of emotional and psychological distress and challenges.
Therapy provides a structured space where you can explore difficult and often painful emotions and experiences. You can work through these emotions and experiences, exploring your feelings, thoughts and behaviour and relevant aspects of your personal history in order to gain understanding and resolution.
Areas I work with include:
|Anger||Issues from Childhood|
|Anxiety||Lack of meaning or purpose|
|Bereavement||Life events and changes|
|Building Confidence||Low self-esteem|
|Difficulties with relationships||Redundancy|
|Generally feeling out of sorts||Stress|
The sessions provide an opportunity to identify recurring patterns of behaviour in your life with the potential to do things differently. One of the aims of therapy is to expand our awareness. This heightened understanding enables us to move beyond our usual patterns and make choices that work for us.
We can explore in a safe environment what makes your life fulfilling and meaningful as well as what you would like to change and how you move forward.
Free Initial Consultation:
Knowing how difficult it can be to take that step into therapy, I offer a free initial consultation.
In the initial consultation we can discuss the issues that you want to look at and decide how many sessions you may need and you can then decide whether you want to proceed.
Initial Consultation – Free
50 Minute session – £55.00
