The word meditation comes from the Latin “meditor” which means to think or consider, and the Sanskrit word for meditation means “wisdom”
Meditation is a state of consciousness in which a person goes deep within themselves focusing the mind and eliminating outside influences to produce a state of deep peace and relaxation.
After this deep quietening of the mind, you gain an ability to listen to your own thoughts and observe the mind body and spirit. Once this is achieved you can move deeper into expanding your spiritual awareness.
Guided meditation supports the ability to manage stress and anxiety by creating deep relaxation making it easier to cope with your daily commitments. Once you have learnt the basics of your practice you can then use it to deepen your spiritual knowledge and understanding and find guidance from within.
