Trauma & Abuse Therapy

Parks Inner Child Therapy (PICT) addresses the effects which trauma or abuse (whether it is in the conscious memory or subconscious) may have left. PICT does not focus on the specific details of the event; which means there is no need to disclose the exact details of the traumatic experience or abuse which allows for the patient to retain privacy, dignity and to attend the sessions comfortably without traumatising themselves again.

This type of therapy creates lasting change rapidly and gently. It is a powerful ‘talking’ therapy using visualisations (you do not need to be able to visualise well, as you will be guided through this).

Types of trauma which can benefit from PICT

PICT produces measureable results for a wide spectrum of issues including:

  • trauma
  • phobias
  • allergies
  • post traumatic stress disorder
  • self-harm
  • bereavement
  • anger
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • OCD
  • physical/emotional sexual abuse
  • food/drug/alcohol issues

and much more………..

Trauma, abuse and poor parenting leave a residue of limiting beliefs that negatively affect a person’s life. PICT can change this!

Treatment process

The first session and assessment will be conducted for free over a phone consultation. During this call you will be asked a series of questions to understand the issue which needs to be dealt with. A face to face session will then be arranged, whereby varying techniques will be discussed and used; sometimes under hypnosis if required (and if the patient is happy to abide to).

The number of sessions required will depend on each individual, and this will be discussed after the first session.
